Custom designed wipe-clean white boards have become a regular element in the varied output of Signs Express (Newcastle) and the volume is growing…
Despite the means to take notes being pretty much ubiquitous these days, what with everyone carrying a smart-phone or having a tablet or laptop within easy reach, the popularity of things like flip-charts and white-boards is practically undimmed. Whiteboards in particular seem to have carved a niche that’s pretty much resistant to any and all assaults from more modern technologies.
A typical whiteboard is just that. An expanse of white upon which it’s possible to record notes, diagrams and ideas in a freeform and easily modified way. The pens used leave colourful markings that can be wiped away with an eraser. A meeting room isn’t really a meeting room if it doesn’t have a white board. Ideas can be recorded and connected, and a lot of note taking apps now have means to capture whiteboards’ contents so immortalising the data digitally.
Whiteboards also have a role when the information they record is of a more regimented nature. Tabular data, for example describing a process in a factory, can be recorded and very easily updated using such a system. Such boards contain permanent elements comprising the tables and table headings, and space sufficient to record the variable data. To get such a board dedicated to a task can involve an element of customisation. Enter Signs Express Newcastle…
LKQ Coatings, responsible for the stellar quality of the paint finishes seen on McClaren cars, engaged Signs Express Newcastle to produce a series of whiteboards so that a quality management scheme could be operated at the point of delivery. Signs Express Newcastle pressed its own creative solutions button and gave the client exactly what was needed.
Starting with a regulation magnetic whiteboard, the Signs Express team applied the permanent elements of the boards’ designs using printed Metamark MD5. This was laminated with a layer of Metamark’s novel MetaGuard 206 laminate. MetaGuard 206 doesn’t just cover the underlying printed graphics with a hundred microns of very robust and crystal-clear protection, it presents a surface that’s receptive to dry wipe pens and that wipes clean leaving no trace of them having written.
The boards supplies by Signs Express Newcastle are functional, keeping their magnetic properties, attractive bearing the needed design, and entirely fit fo the purpose designed thanks to the bespoke nature of the tabular markings supplied. Signs Express has a growing base of clients for its whiteboards and a no-limits approach in terms of the designs it’s able to offer.
