Egg On Legs gets a round in for Heist...

Just in case you hadn't noticed, one of the busiest sectors of the leisure industry these days is brewing and, in particular craft beers have the spotlight upon them. Heist is one such beer and then some. Its brand too. It has a personality that perfectly counterpoints its products and that punches way above its weight.

Sheffield based Egg On Legs Design and Print was commissioned by Heist to breath life into its emerging brand and obliged with a complete programme encompassing design and manufacture, transforming the vacant premises the brewer had just moved into and its entire customer-facing proposition. Egg On Legs used Metamark materials for the entire project.

One feature in particular involved the transformation of Heist's building's exterior facade with panels looking for all the world like reclaimed OSB boards, a theme continued internally. They're in fact anything but OSB. Egg On Legs printed Metamark MD5 using OSB textures previously photographed. The results look like OSB but will actually stand up to everything the weather throws, unlike the real thing.

Moving inside, a huge Heist logo features in a very subtle way. It's more about contrasts with its surroundings than colour. It does the job, no more, and certainly no less. Other parts of the ensemble include etch effects upon windows and glaze surfaces. Any and all parts of the programme harmonise beautifully with the characterful premises.

Egg On Legs has done a great job of delivering the Heist brand taking the brief from nothing more than the spark of an idea through its execution and on to delivery. From Heist's point of view, being able to turn to a local producer and achieve an ID at minimal scale which would do credit to any of its major competitors underscores again the value and versatility of digital print and modern Metamark materials.

Egg On Legs' work for clients in sectors as diverse as furniture retailing and hairdressing is well known in the locality and beyond. Now that Heist is part of the client base, Egg On Legs' credentials take it even further in the leisure sector.
