If you’ve ever watched the hit television series - I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, and fretted about raising your own profile to the point where you get an invitation to star in the show, don’t worry, ITV is recreating the series in Salford, Manchester.

The I’m A Celebrity Jungle Challenge is a visitor attraction complete with its own Snake Rock, Base Camp and Croc Creek and visitors engaging the experience will be treated to ninety minutes of action involving climbing walls, parachute drops and zip wires while collecting those familiar yellow stars.

The attraction will be part of The Watergardens development next to the Lowry Outlet Mall in Salford and is planned to open in 2020. In the meantime, ground has been broken at the attraction’s site by celebrity campmates Jake Quickenden and Jennie McAlpine.

The Voodoo DesignWorks supplies signage and graphics to the Lowry Outlet Mall and was asked to rustle up a photo prop for the celebrities’ press event, a star bearing the new attraction’s brand. Out with the Metamark MD5 and into the HP Latex Wide Format Printer. The printed graphic was carefully wrapped around the star itself which was cut on Voodoo’s big Tekcel router. Job done.

Voodoo’s star now points toward a coming experience based attraction that’s likely to see visitors arriving from all parts of the country. With retail and experiential events becoming ever closer partners, and shopping in the real world gaining popularity as a consequence, the I’m A Celebrity Jungle Challenge is destined to be a leading event. The adjacent development of The Watergardens can only lend further weight to the attraction.

Signs and graphics have buoyed the profile of retail businesses practically since the day retail was conceived. In the changed landscape that characterises retail today, signing and graphics assume a bigger role contributing to visitors’ immersion in the experience.
