Metamark has announced some new recruits to the MetaCast® MCX range of automotive colours…

MetaCast® MCX is all about colour. Automotive colour specifically. 

The MetaCast® MCX range of premium quality cast wrapping films for automotive colour-change applications got off the starting grid and registered a great reception when it was launched just over a year ago. Quite unlike other ranges of cast wrapping film, MCX put a focus on automotive colours that reflected a legacy and that had a story to tell. The range at launch also included colours that spoke to contemporary tastes and had staying power. The range evoked some of the most desirable finishes known in the field of automotive exotica.

MCX films moved off Metamark’s shelves almost as fast as Metamark could make it. The films’ adoption by the automotive fraternity was immediate and enthusiastic. Great colours aside, the product also got great reviews for its technical foundations being easy to work with and yielding class-leading results in colour-change wrapping applications. 

Metamark has now extended the MCX range to include twelve new colours. 

Like each of the originals, every colour has earned its place in the range based on its qualifications in automotive colour change applications. While the available gamut of materials manufacturing colour that could inform Metamark’s choices is very extensive, most are fundamentally unsuited to quality automotive applications. There, by contrast, colour is typically retained and works intimately with prevailing ambient lighting to accentuate panel profiles and the overall vehicle aesthetic.

There’s a new MetaCast® MCX Colour Swatch available of course and it tells the whole MCX story in the living colour for which the range is well known. On the basis that eye-appeal really drives home the qualities of the MetaCast MCX range, Metamark has designed and manufactured a wall mounted display board that showcases each of the colours in the range. The board hold a real sample of each film and displays it with a slight surface curl that accentuates the interplay of prevailing light with the film colour. Full details are available from Metamark.
