Ride 45 is a destination in Chalfont Saint Giles that’s likely to be well subscribed to say the least when restrictions are lifted and it can open its doors in late July 2020. The business promotes itself as a cycle studio but actually offers those with a pent-up need to stretch, tone or just burn down some energy a lot more. Calling it a gym would be to sell it short.
Businesses like Ride 45 benefit most from a local catchment in terms of the customers who’ll use them regularly. Local promotion is key to getting local businesses in front of people and it’s a well subscribed theory that suggests vehicle graphics are a very effective element of the mix. As we’ve said before, it’s thought that about six-thousand sets of eyes an hour get to see a livery when it’s out on the road - anyone who does the sums will agree that the numbers make a case for the value that vehicle graphics return.
Occasionally, a vehicle will rock up that forces a bit of a re-think. It’ll be a real eye-popper, the sort of thing that kids point at and which becomes a bit of a celebrity. One such vehicle has just been let into the wild by Chesham based SignX and it promotes the interests of Ride 45. It’s quite a piece of work.
SignX had worked for Ride 45’s owners before and got a reasonably relaxed brief. The design needed to promote all of Ride 45’s offerings to its market and, above all, turn heads, whether parked or passing. The SignX team was handed a logo and put the rest of the wrap to bed via a number of design proposals.
The design agreed powerfully reflects Ride 45’s identity and clearly showcases what it offers to its markets as well. The colour ways are beyond bright and yet the design works. It’s a design that can be walked around and it gives something different from every angle its seen from.
Design’s one thing, production another. SignX’s winning wrap design was destined to cover a Smart Car. Regarded by many as a ‘Wrapper’s Everest’ the Smart Car manages to cram into its diminutive form just about every technical challenge a wrapper will ever encounter. It takes no prisoners but, when it’s wrapped well, few vehicles equal it as an eye-magnet.
Ride 45’s Smart Car is wrapped well. In fact, in terms of the raw mechanics of getting a flat material onto a vehicle, it’s a technically accomplished showpiece. The material in this case happens to be Metamark’s latest. It’s MetaCast MDC and it’s laminated with its MetaGuard Matching Laminate. Print quality is brilliant and the overall impact is on some sort of mega-scale or other. The SignX team found the application of the printed MetaCast MDC was helped in no small measure by its MetaGlide Adhesive. It makes repositioning easy and builds to a powerful ultimate bond.
SignX has given its customer a very potent means to promote a business that will soon be able to welcome customer again. How those customer came to learn of Ride 45 and its being remains to be see. Odds are, many will have seen a certain Smart Car that’s just too hard to ignore.
