GETTING NOTICED WITH MDC

GETTING NOTICED WITH MDC

Protectorcomms is a name that’s known nationally. Now it has a fleet that reflects its winning reputation…

People buy things for reasons that they alone choose and it was a need to change, that drove Caerphilly based security, surveillance and fire-safety specialists, Protectorcomms, to the open doors of Bridgend based signs and graphics producers Elite Signs and Graphics.

Protectorcomms operates nationally in the UK and behind its respected brand which can claim over forty years experience in its field. Given the sensitive and highly regulated nature of its business, brand is particularly important to the company. When it’s engaged, the company is effectively entrusted with the safe and secure operation of the sites it protects and the assets behind them. It’s seen as vital that the brand projects an impression of substance and quality. Feeling that its brand’s mission would benefit from some support through the company’s new fleet and its livery, it approached Elite Signs and Graphics for some help.

Elite Signs and Graphics operates behind a reputation too. It’s one that it has earned through the quality of its work and, in particular, its vehicle liveries. The company is among the UK based pioneers who first recognised that panel boundaries in vehicles were best ignored and that the whole vehicle represents a canvas for branding and promotion. It’s output is eye-catching, memorable, radiates quality and unquestionably gets the job done.

Elite Signs and Graphics’ brief from Protectorcomms was to deliver a livery that reflected the company’s weight and stature while communicating unstated impressions of quality. Simon James and his team responded with a design proposal that worked with elements of the client’s ID but solidified them into a more cohesive whole that occupies the vehicle. The proposal leverages large areas of colour, sweeping divides and high message legibility.

Once the detail integration between producer and customer were over and the design was approved for production, Elite decided to leverage its recent immersion and training in the use of Metamark’s new premium quality cast wrapping film MetaCast MDC and drafted in the material for the job. Like all MD-Class digital media from Metamark, the cast MDC is formulated to deliver an exceptional appetite for ink and so reproduce reliably larger than life colours. It acquitted itself well with the Protectorcomms livery. Application was praised by the skilled and experienced hands of the Elite team too.

Six-thousand sets of eyes an hour are said to see vehicle liveries on the road in the UK. Success finds other metrics to be measured by too. The Protectorcomms livery turns fleet of small vans into a very big event. Each of the vehicles is powerfully distinguished in the midst of anonymous traffic and does a great job promoting an already successful company. Elite’s design places the livery squarely in the contemporary space. It’s a bang up to date design that has the quality to endure and will serve the client’s needs brilliantly. The Metamark materials used are perfect for the long-term performance needs the job imposes too and fully compliant with the need to fully cover the complex vehicles.

Protectorcomms had its reasons for coming to Elite Signs and Graphics. Now they’ve a whole fleet’s worth of reason to keep them coming back.
