Metamark’s CEO, Paul French comments on the company’s preparations for Brexit as the transition period nears its end…
“Despite Metamark’s attention being directed toward supporting our customers and our business through the pandemic, we’ve also been diligently planning and preparing for Brexit and what awaits us all when the transition period ends.
“Planning against an unknown set of circumstances and outcomes is at best difficult. Despite that, we’ve been putting into action measures that on the one hand defend our manufacturing position and on the other put us in a ready-state so that we can continue to support our customers and supply their needs.
“Defending our manufacturing position has meant securing a substantial contingency of raw materials inventory so that we can deal with interruptions in supply should that happen. That contingency is in our manufacturing facility and ready to use if we need it.
“Supporting our customers means maintaining one of the largest in-stock and ready-to-ship inventories of digital media, SignVinyl and speciality materials serving the sign and allied industries. Our stock situation is good. We’re ready to supply what the market needs to do its job.
“Of all the challenges that can come the way of any business, uncertainty is among the most difficult to cope with. Metamark has mitigated to the best extent possible what might or might not happen. We’re still growing and welcoming new customers. We’re still introducing new products, and we’re pressing ahead with initiatives including new plant, and an exciting new website promoting all the great products we have to sell and the good reasons for choosing us as a partner.
