‘Presense’ doesn’t begin to describe it. Let the graphics speak for themselves…
Elite Signs and Graphics is very well known in and around its home in Bridgend, and much further afield for the work it does in the field of vehicle livery production and design. The company undertakes work that sees it applying graphics on practically anything with wheels, from cars and light vans, through passenger vehicles and plant all the way out to the extremes of heavy commercial haulage.
The company has a very strong design capability and a style of its own that, while familiar in approach, succeeds in delivering high individual results to the growing client-base.
Most of the livery work that Elite Signs and Graphics undertakes is delivered in the form that sees it in the branding and identity continuations silo. Recently though, a regular client approached wanting a livery that would turn heads and serve purely to raise awareness in the company it would promote - an advertisement with celebrity of its own. Head turning livery is of course a specialisation that Elite Signs and Graphics can claim, but this particular job for Elite Signs regular, JSM Security, was something just the other side of the ‘different’ line.
Even before Simon James and the Elite Signs team got their hands on the vehicle it was popping eyes and turning heads. It’s not every day that a Toyota Hilux based Monster Truck rumbles past or turns up asking to be decorated. It probably won’t happen again for a while either.
In almost the same breath as you’d ask ‘what do you give the man who has everything,’ what do you do for a truck that attracts dropped-jaw stares wherever it goes? Elite Signs had the answer.
Knowing that anything it applied would have all the help it needed from the truck, the Elite Signs team went the subtle route and fitted simple cut and applied graphics. Metamark M7 in gloss and matt finish delivers the message in what amounts to a whisper above the truck’s bellowing voice. It looks sensational. It hints at urban camo and apocalyptic industrial but does an amazing job of not indulging itself. The matt and gloss contrast provide a nice touch and ‘legible’ doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Elite Signs and Graphics has long said it never knows quite what is going to come through the doors and its JSM monster proves the point. It terms of livery, the company has done the lot. Few though will pop eyes quite like the JSM Monster.
Once seen - never forgotten.
