Metamark window tinting film and M7 helped D-Sign Studio finish off a customer’s Audi perfectly…

Way out west, in Milford Haven, you’ll find D-Sign Studio where Jonathan Dudley and his team operate in a hive of industry that seems to attract a bewildering variety of signs and graphics jobs to the door. No wonder. Aside from being a very accomplished digital printer and signs producer, the skilled hands at D-Sign are well known for adding the right touches to commercial and non-commercial vehicle too. The company eats its way through acres of Metamark Tinting Materials as well as our SignVinyl and MD-Class Digital Media.

Tinting is not the easiest of callings in practical terms and many signs and graphics producers won’t touch it. Jonathan Dudley on the other hand has made it something of a specialisation and he’s spread the word too. He services the needs of all the fast cars in the area and beyond, and even gets his hands on some serious plant-operators assets at time. Most work comes to the door but the harbour tug that needed a sun visor was something he had to travel for - not far though. Milford Haven dock is on the doorstep.

An Audi recently rolled up at D-Sign and its owner, who’d been recommended D-Sign Studio, was looking for tints. They’d come to the right place. Armed with Metamark Tinting Film JD set to prepping and finishing the black car. It’s amazing how the simple act of putting a material that’s perceived as being practically opaque into a void designed to be transparent transforms a vehicle. It somehow looks more purposeful and muscular, lower even. One thing achieved by tinting the Audi wasn’t planned though - it deflected attention onto its chrome grille surround.

The owner was quick to spot the plainly visible trim and asked what the options were. One option denied was the de-chrome tick-in-the-box on the original spec list. The left the possibility of a disguise. Owner unsure. JD confident. With a little time on the meter available. JD suggested he wrap the grille in Metamark M7 Black and if that didn’t do the job to the owner’s satisfaction, it could be removed again.

It didn’t take very long.

The finished grille now better reflects the overall tone the car sets. Where there was once a large grinning expanse of chrome-lipped detail, there’s now a rather more understated field of black that could very well have come from the OEM factory. We think it looks great. So does the Audi’s owner. The car left the premises with the work intact.

Just taking care of the details at D-Sign Studio. Next!
