Eagle Signs (Carmarthen) has grown an enviable reputation for the quality of its livery work in its locality and beyond in the twenty years or more its been in business. Dorian Thomas, Marie Thomas and the Eagle Signs team together produce work for a client mix that fields vehicles from cars and light vans, and everything on the way to passenger coaches and commercials. The company’s clients arrive with very different needs and leave with what they want. All the livery work is different, but its quality is the common point.

Eagle Signs knows how to make liveried vehicles look good and function well. A discerning eye for type and its layout informs the right design choices. The interplay between images and text too is understood and helps the company produce vehicle livery that looks ‘designed’ and is. Far from being nothing more than an assembly of details, the company’s approach gives its customers livery that may look ‘classical’ but that reflect contemporary touches. One customer keen to align with Eagle Signs was Castell Howell. The company bought its fleet to Eagle Signs and was treated to an exemplary livery. One of its chilled transporters wears powerful imagery reflecting the operator’s trade and delivering its message and its brand in real style. The design balances the interests of the company’s logo and ‘reveals’ its product in a very graceful and yet emphatic arc that contrast strongly with the imagery. It just works.

The team at Eagle Signs continued the quality ethos it promotes by using Metamark materials. The image detail is rendered on laminated Metamark MD5-A featuring Metamark’s AirScape adhesive. The highly legible logo and lettering elements are cut and applied from Metamark M7 hence the ultimate in crisp edges and detailed definition.

The vehicle looks wonderful. The whole company fleet of a 150 plus, that’d be quite a sight.
