Look after your customers well, and who knows what might happen…
Most signs and graphics producers these days will have found themselves called upon to produce labels, signing, and other things dedicated to helping the world organise itself around the demands of staying safe during the pandemic. Bridgend based Elite Signs and Graphics is no exception.
Company was recently called upon, and in a bit of a hurry, to produce some urgently required labelling to identify articles of PPE for a local health facility. It was all needed in a bit of a rush, but Elite Signs’ team pulled out all the stops, got the job delivered on time, and waved goodbye to a very happy customer.
The story would've ended there, but…
An out-of-the-blue call from Pioneer Pump rattled the phone at Elite one morning. Pioneer, is among the world’s leading manufacturers of portable pumping hardware and sets something of a technical benchmark in its industry. Its products move, raise, and evacuate all sorts of liquids and semisolids, and do so all over the world.
The incoming call, or rather the person at the other end of the phone, said that they, Pioneer, had been referred to Elite Signs by certain local health authority for whom the company had done a great job involving PPE labelling. That rang a bell or two. Pioneer wanted some vehicle livery. Elite was happy to oblige.
A brace of Ford vans was in the initial enquiry. They needed spot-on branding as per a very prescriptive corporate ID and some statutory reflective markings too. None of that posed a problem to the team at Elite Signs. The livery design follows the lines of what has fast become a classic treatment in the age of conformable materials.
The design is informed by angular lines stretching from the rear doors to the front quarter of the vehicle. It's a field of green diverging from the lines and giving the design a very dynamic look that somewhat disguises the boxy and very accommodating proportions of the van. There is some white text within it but it doesn't disturb the flow of the feature.
Strategically located in the panel portions is a simple, unambiguous logo, and the legend ‘Pioneer Pump. It's important that vehicle livery performs as a whole and this one does. The elements all come together and it looks like a very cohesive design job. The rear is treated to conspicuity markings and a repeat of the Pioneer logo.
MetaWrap MD-X and its matching laminate was used for the livery. The material, and the Elite Team, have done a great job of matching the colour needed. Metamark M7 provides the detail and the whole ensemble looks simply stunning.
Word-of-mouth is a great way of generating business. Helping out someone in need of PPE labelling what is its own reward, but to see a new customer arrive at the door with a fleet needing livery as a result of one's efforts, that's another thing entirely.
Nice Job, Elite.
