THE MM-CC GREY COLLECTION

THE MM-CC GREY COLLECTION

Somewhere between the dazzle of a polar white and the light-swallowing depths of the purest of blacks, you’ll find something the world knows as the colour grey. Versatile only begins to describe it. We have now introduced our Grey Collection to the existing MM-CC Series.

Choose your colour, set your own tone. You can now select from Aluminium, Gunmetal, Graphite and Nardo Grey.

Our MM-CC Series is a proven and highly effective full, or partial, colour branding vehicle wrap solution. The MM-CC Series helps transform and customise a range of vehicles, including fleet and commercial. The 100 micron film offers high opacity and resistance to elongation colour fade during the wrapping process. The pigments in the film give long term colour stability, providing a durable finish and it offers high abrasion resistance and paint protection to preserve the market resale value of the vehicle at the end of the contract.

The MM-CC Series is supplied with MetaScape air release system to allow quick and easy application. Available in a range of standard colours, with also special colour matches on offer for projects that meet the mimimum order quantity.

Samples of our MM-CC Series are available upon request. If you want to see what the existing range, and also our new colours look like on different vehicles, you can try our Online Colour Change Visualiser now.

Shades of Grey - The very purest of greys reflects, or absorbs if you prefer, the visible components of the spectrum of light in equal proportions. So, technically, you might suppose that it has no colour, as we understand it, at all. The very purest of greys though only really exist in technical definitions and in optical labs. Look on the shelves at Metamark, and you’ll find greys worthy of the name. Greys that you can work with and that enhance or counterpoint all the work you do.

Greys have creative potential - You wouldn’t, intuitively, print on a grey substrate. Pick one from the recently enhanced Metamark 7 Series range of coloured sign vinyl and there’s nothing to stop you. Our coloured materials are print receptive.

Grey isn’t a natural home for process-colour now and never really has been. Print white or black detail upon it though and that’s a very different matter. Such detail contrasts with the dominant field and gives the resulting imagery dimension and depth. If what you print is swept in density and the slightly matte finish of your ink contrasts with the bottomless-beyond of that incredible Metamark gloss, your signing will look deep enough to swim in. Make it as subtle or as dramatic as you, or you customers like.

Should you care to mix a little colour into your toning layer, let’s say a blue, you get what amounts to a duo-tone but something that’s way cooler. The base grey and its gloss give your added colour a bit of a kick and an aesthetic that’s hard not to like. The message is clear. If you want to add a touch of the unexpected to your signing and livery work - go for grey.

Greys are potent and poppy - Great design it’s said is deeply rooted in contrasts. One contrast that’s impossible to deny is the way grey metallic materials when applied actually look, with the way the very same material would be expected to look. Metallic grey almost leaps off the substrate and looks sensational when the light catches it.

Metallic materials have tiny little inclusions in the body of the material itself that play tricks with the light that’s falling upon it. While the flecks generalise into a tone that reflects the body colour of the material - grey in this case - they individually add their own contributions to making the material look lustrous. Something then that’s perceived as being a mid-tone grey, burst into life when the light falls on it.

We all know that metallic colours work on liveries. How about popping the cork on one of our metallic shades of grey as a mean to add accent and detailing to a monochrome sign background? You won’t lose the overall feel of the sign, all you’ll be doing is accentuating the positive and making the sign look all the better.

Greys are POPULAR - A capital letter wouldn’t be strong enough. Our ranges’ greys are on the shelves now at Metamark but we’re replacing them at very regular intervals as they sell so strongly. There’s a reason for that. Greys, be they cool or warm, dark or light, shiny or matt, are just so versatile and appealing. There’s one that’ll fit in with whatever you’re doing.

If you’re into your cars you’ll be aware that a grey shade that was ever so popular back in the day has made a big swing back to the top of the charts. You’ll have heard Nardo often. You’ll find greys at Metamark that scratch your Nardo itch and that perform just like all Metamark materials too. Our colours deliver that deep, utilitarian shade and look as thick as the finest paint finish ever did. The great thing is, vinyl is easier to apply and practical to remove if and when the moment passes and another shade of grey topples the top dog.

Greys are Metamark - Make sure you check out the clutch of greys that Metamark has tucked away in its materials ranges. Visit them often and get to know them well. For something as safe and lacking in controversy as a simple shade of grey, it’s a colour that just radiates class and won’t let you go that far wrong.

If you think of colour as a condiment and grey as the main event, you’ll find yourself making remarkable looking output and using a colour you once gave little thought. Metamark is there with all the support and all the greys you could need.
