When you’re applying self-adhesive materials to substrates, there’s always something icky that’s best removed from the substrate before you start. What the cloth and fluids won’t get off is then best left to the blade. Trouble is, most blades don’t discriminate between substrate and dirt and that’s when the trouble begins. However careful you are, razor-sharp metal blades readily take a chunk out of most substrates and that’s no good for business.

Instead they’re available in a range of plastics that do the job without the scary possibility they’ll damage something.

The orange one can lend a hand to pretty much any scraping task - it’s a general purpose blade. The blue one has a love of polycarbonate and the yellow one prefers acrylic.
