Unless one is in the great outdoors, chances are there will be a modified surface of some sort or other underfoot. Floors have to be easy and safe for pedestrian traffic to walk upon. Floors have to be possessed of very hardwearing characteristics. Floors have to be attractive too.
By virtue of the need for extreme durability, anything put upon a floor has, traditionally, to be rated to last for many years. Putting down anything temporary then was not considered an option until recently. Then, floor graphics came along.
Floor graphics enable sign and graphic producers to deliver graphics that literally adhere to floors. To see a graphic on a floor is to agree that the medium is impactful. To use one in the course of promotion an event or product is to agree that the results are great - they do get noticed. To produce floor graphics, that’s another matter completely.
