Badges on vehicle these days are typically ‘stuck on’ rather than drilled and pinned like they were in the old days. No matter. If you’re wrapping a vehicle, the badges have to come off because they’re too intricate to wrap around and, who wants to do half a job anyway?

Getting the job done properly is something that’s made much easier by Metamark’s Vehicle Badge Removal Tool. If you’re visualising something like a blade to get under the badge and lift it or a lever of some crafty design for prising it, then think again. Both would almost certainly damage the paint and possibly the body work. You’ll know that if you’ve tried.

Metamark’s solution looks like something out of a special forces ‘tool kit.’ Two comfortable handles and a braided, very thin, and very strong cord connecting the two. The cord is worked under the applied badge and then can be used like a saw or a particularly brutal dental floss session to get through the tape and liberate the badge. Works a treat. Once the bages are off and a bit of clean up has happened, the wrap can be applied and the badges re-taped and adhered.

The sturdy handles aren’t just comfortable, they’ll probably last forever. Expect to get through a few cords though, they’re going to wear eventually. Don’t worry though, replacements are readily available. From Metamark of course.
