As widely advised and reported, the UK Government’s position regarding the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak has moved from contain, to delay and the UK’s risk is now assessed as high. Metamark has initiated prepared protocols in response to this situation with its staff,and we continue to monitor changing and dynamic factors as they develop.

Despite the prevailing situation, it remains business as usual at Metamark. There will be no interruptions to supply, and we aim to deliver the same high standard of service to our customers that we always have.

Internally, Metamark has already instituted measures supporting the government’s position and acted very quickly on its advice:

We have provided additional hygiene products to our staff and elevated the requirement for these products’ diligent use.

• We have delivered a programme of education advising staff what indications they should be aware of that may indicate they, or others have contracted the virus and what steps should immediately be taken. Steps include a continuously monitored reporting procedure and the delivery of contingent actions arising.
• We have taken extra steps to protect our staff who are in contact with external agencies and organisations and have restricted the travel and movements of our field-based customer-facing staff, ensuring that contact with customers can be maintained through other communication means.
• We have teams in both our manufacturing and distributions divisions charged with monitoring live HSE and NHS advise and acting promptly upon it when it becomes available.

In terms of maintaining the supplies our customers require to run their businesses, we have instituted further protocols ensuring that supply and service levels are not compromised.

As of this advisory’s publication date, we are not experiencing interruptions to our supply chain and we are not being informed of any likely interruptions. We have established lines of communication that will update us immediately if the supply status changes:

• We have moved the phasing of raw materials allocations so that we can modestly increase stock in hand and production in process across all our raw materials supply routes.
• We are tightly and frequently monitoring supply availability and will adjust our manufacturing parameters as needed to ensure finished goods availability.

Metamark will continue to diligently monitor the Covid-19 situation as it develops, and take any and all steps to maintain material supplies and service levels. These are unprecedented times and they may require unprecedented actions. The wellbeing of our staff and our customers is of paramount importance to us. We are confident that we can continue to function well in what are obviously turbulent times and it’s our intent to do everything we can to support our customers and ourselves.
