Glasgow based Source Signs pays another visit to a celebrity coffee shop in Blanefield…

One great reason to visit Blanefield near Glasgow is that there’s not a lot there to visit. It’s rather surrounded by stunning Scottish countryside in all its splendour, but there is a great Coffee Shop that’s something of a magnet for those who do make the journey. Make a beeline for Coffee At The Wilsons and you’ll not be disappointed. 

Coffee At The Wilsons has earned itself a bit of celebrity over the years and not just for the quality of its service and products. Every year, as Christmas approaches, the Coffee Shop adds to the local colour and spreads a bit of cheer by donning a bespoke package of themed Christmas decoration that dominates the front of the shop.

Forget any notion of LED Santas and his animated neon entourage though. Coffee at the Wilsons decides on a theme, commissions a custom design, and has bespoke temporary shop front decorative graphics installed. It’s quite an event locally.

The job of designing the decor package, manufacturing and installing it, falls to Source Signs, itself based in Bishopbriggs, north of the Clyde in Glasgow. This year’s theme was a homage to Peter Rabbit. 

The applied window-mural depicts Peter and friends in the midst of a seasonally apt snow scene amid rolling hills, stylised trees and other wintery elements. “It’s warm inside,” says some lettering in the middle of a printed wreath and a snow-laden Christmas tree spans the double doors across the entrance. It’s a really eye-catching ensemble, and a real credit to the design and production talents of the team at Source Signs.

The job is obviously only intended for short-term application and so a suitable material was selected from Metamark’s portfolio of Promotional Digital Vinyl recognising that quality doesn’t have to be compromised for short-term graphics. MD-DOT was elected for the Peter Rabbit homage mural. The product prints brilliantly like all MD-Class products and features a patterned adhesive facilitating fast, bubble-free application and clean removal.

Despite the ease of installation, Source Signs’ team installed the finished graphic and the effect is stunning. Coffee At The Wilsons lights up the locality again with a bit of Christmas Cheer.
