It takes a big fleet to deliver Greggs goodness nationwide. Thanks to OPG, you must have seen it…
Greggs is more than a convenient place to buy lunch or a snack. The business has had over seventy-five years to get things right and today truly reflects the Nation’s taste. With over 2,000 outlets, Greggs is still growing and each shop it opens stays true to its name and as good as the day John Gregg opened his first in Gosforth - it’s still there today.
OPG is one of the UK’s leading signs and fleet graphics producers and is headquartered in Lesmahagow, Scotland. The business may not have quite the legacy Greggs can claim having only been around since 1995, but it’s founded on the same customer-led quality ethics and has the same passion for people and the planet.
It’s a statistical certainty that many of the very capable team at OPG have a relationship with Greggs by way of its tasty products. OPG is justly proud of the fact that the relationship goes deeper and, time and again, Greggs chooses OPG to deliver critical branding continuations and to amplify its message through vehicle branding and advertising. Greggs’ brand is nothing less than iconic. Representing it is a considerable responsibility and one to which the OPG team routinely rises.
Greggs’ relationship with OPG has its basis in the OPG design team working with Greggs’ creative people to leverage the company’s assets and achieve the impact that sustains the powerful brand. Once OPG’s design flats and press proofs are approved by Greggs, OPG is commissioned to wrap its Greggs fleet vehicles, including its 15.6M longer semis and refrigerated trucks.
Both Greggs and OPG take environmental stewardship very seriously and, for some time, OPG has been using HP hardware running substantially water-based, fade-resisting Latex inks. OPG is a recognised HP Trained Printing Company also recognised for its colour management expertise as a GMG Colour Management House. This all has a very positive impact when it comes to examining results.
So too does the specification of Metamark materials for Greggs liveries. The liveries are printed on Metamark MD5-B one of Metamark’s MD-Class digital print media. The distinctive matt lustre finish Greggs chooses is imparted by the MD5-B’s matching MG-702 Laminate. This proven media-hardware partnership showcases the potency of Greggs creative and OPG’s skills brilliantly.
OPG’s process drive continuing business improvement and the company has robust and recognised systems for Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental protection guiding it. It shows. The company’s output for one of the UK’s leading High Street brands exemplify what’s possible when the right hardware and materials are in the right hands.
If all this mention of Greggs has triggered a longing for one of its legendary steak slices, don’t resist. Thanks to its extensive and brilliantly branded fleet, a slice, with your name on it, is on the hot shelf locally - nation-wide. Rely on it, and the product quality. If on the other hand you have a fleet that would benefit from OPG’s skills, they’re only a call away.
