MAKING A SPLASH
The business franchise model and its success is beyond and doubt. It effectively bottles the expertise, development and early establishment of a business and makes its essence available to others who operate its business methods and, usually, succeed. Franchises then represent a great way for a business operating well on a local basis to scale their operation to other localities, and for those looking for an opportunity to get something of their own going, it’s available more or less as a business in a box.
Swimkids is one such franchise. Its founder was motivated to ‘do something’ having discovered a huge void in the services available when looking for swimming lessons for babies and toddlers. Reasoning that other parents must be in the same boat, it was ‘in at the deep end’ and Swimkids was born. The business attracts lots of parents looking to get youngsters comfortable and capable in the water. More than that though, there’s a whole social context going and as for fitness and fun, it a winner - what’s not to like?
Swimkids decided, having successfully piloted and proofed the business, to go the franchise route. It already had a relationship with Elite Signs and Graphics whose team provided liveries for the vehicles used as the business was forming. Now, with a fully developed plan, and a very distinctive ID, Swimkids has been back to Elite for new livery work that will help carry the business and its model forward.
The design for the liveries has been iteratively developed by the Elite team and is not without its complexities. Printing, with a lot of very subtle gradation, has to be spot on, and with elements of the layout inviting close examination, application needs to be exact too. Swimkids has mandated that Elite perform all printing and application after a little network freelancing showed the importance of policing and maintaining a very solid and valuable identity.
The latest to come under the hands of the skilled operators at Elite Signs and Graphics was an Audi Q3. Sat in the pool’s carpark and wearing its distinctive ID, it’s a very potent promotional tool indeed. Seen on the streets it turns heads and gets phones ringing - it’s a magnet for business.
Elite’s team went the trusted MetaWrap MD-X route for its work for Swimkids. The liveries are protected by a tough layer of MetaGuard matching laminate. The MD-Class print work really sparkles and says much about the sheer quality of Elite’s wrapping and design capabilities. From any angle you care to look, the car promotes Swimkids, radiates quality, and really gets its valuable message across.
Thanks to Swimkids, finding fun-time in the pool with kids in safe hands is getting a lot easier these days and that’s got to be good for growing confidence and fitness. Thanks to Elite Signs and Graphics, a very promising franchise is well and truly on its way and its ID is in safe hands too.
