DELIVERING A MESSAGE
The concept of being big and experienced enough to cope, and involved to the extent the service offered is personal even when the job in question is a small one is popular but quite rare. It perfectly frames the service-led ethics of Pudsey (Leeds) based Wright Sign Service. Family owned and run for fifty years or more, Wright Sign Service is known locally and nationally for the calibre of the works it delivers, and it has an impressive clientele comprising companies big and small, and large institutions and public bodies too.
There’s little, if anything at all, that the creatives and production team at Wright Sign Service won’t undertake. Its Sales Contract Manager, Martin Earnshaw has been involved with the business for over forty years and Claire Wright who’s at the company’s helm is deeply experienced too. The company is well equipped, run along best practice lines as a modern business, but it has craft based skills at its heart and is even developing the skills of apprentices.
Among the company’s regular clients is the NHS Trust and in particular Barnsley Hospital. The Hospital recently launched itself as a smoke-free facility and engaged considerable energies to get the message out. The Hospital has a smoking cessation team delivering help directly to the individual where and when needed and the overarching message was extensively aired on television, in the local press and via all the major social networks.
An important part of any such campaigning activity is the campaign continuations that reinforce the message. Wright Sign Service was engaged by the hospital’s Estates Team to provide, among other things, window graphics displaying the campaign’s theme and key messages in a very conspicuous and legible fashion.
The posters were designed by the Trust’s creative team and the data suppled to Wright Sign Service who then did the required pre-press work prior to printing. Metamark MD5 and MetaGuard Laminate were elected for the job and the results bear out the decision. The posters have that desirable advertiser’s ‘pop’ and the printing is flawless. Application is pixel perfect too - not a bubble in sight.
The posters, there are five designs in total, are applied to the glazing in pairs. One is mounted outside facing the exterior audience, the second mounted inside with the design facing the building’s occupiers. The message delivered is impactful and memorable. Wright Signs Service’s work will be seen, remembered, and acted upon by tens of thousands. It also extends the effectiveness of the headline elements of the campaign in a very cost effective way.
Experience counts for much and when coupled with craft-based skills it make a potent business formula. Wright Signs Service seems to have made the very idea its own and there’s no doubt at all that it’s working.
