The new European legislation for chemicals, known as REACH – Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals regulation, came into force on June 1st 2007. It's purpose is to ensure the safe use of chemicals in respect of people and the environment. More information is available on the website of the European Chemical Agency http://echa.europa.eu/reach

Metamark UK Limited considers itself to be a downstream user. We have been in contact with our suppliers to ensure they are fully aware of, and understand their obligations under REACH. Based on their information, some of them being downstream users themselves, and our current knowledge and understanding of the regulations, the components of the Metamark products are either exempt from registration or there is no requirement to register at this time.

Where we are importing articles from outside the EU, and the supplier has not appointed an ‘Only Representative’ in the EU, then we will take appropriate actions necessary to ensure continuation of supply of those articles.

Please be assured that we will continue to work closely with our suppliers and monitor the requirements for registration of the materials delivered to us, and in this way ensure availability of our products.
