Colour Management Issues

Problem Reason Explanation
Pale colours change colour when overlaminated Due to the way in which the ink lays on the surface of the vinyl, it can change colour when overlaminated

This is due to the way the adhesive of the laminate 'wets' the surface, and is particularly prominant on pale greys and pale blues. There isn't a laminate that over comes this, as it is a function of the printing process.

Pale colours difficult to reproduce Pale colours can change shade across the width of the vinyl due to the printing process This is due to the way the ink is applied, and can be improved by printing unidirectionally.
Problems colour matching panels on vehicle
Some colour variations across the width of the print are unavoidable.
Tile the panels by turning each successive one 180° so the left edge off the printer on one panel aligns with the left edge off the print on the next panel.
