Problem Reason Solution
Banner pvc feeds poorly, tunnels or head strikes. The added weight of a roll of banner pvc and its resistance to unwind can cause the pinch rollers to make the pvc tunnel and head strike. Unwind sufficient pvc fabric to allow it to feed without resistance. This can me more of an issue on earlier machines with just two pinch rollers such as the SP300.
Banner pvc tracks off Since banner pvc is a thick material, if one pinch roller straddles the edge of the pvc it can cause it to drift. Make sure there arent any pinch rollers partly on the fabric. Move or disable one if necessary. This can be the case on printers with a range of fixed position pinch rollers such as the HP 9000 and 8000.
