- When printing, always use the correct ICC Colour Profile. As well as achieving high print quality this will ensure that there are not excess solvents which can weaken the adhesion of the print.
- Once printed, allow a minimum of 24 hours for the solvents to dry off before application of the overlaminate, or application to the vehicle. Ensure the print has gassed off and depending on the ink saturation and drying conditions this can often be longer than 24 hours.
- When overlaminating, always use the matched laminate. Metamark MD7 should be overlaminated by MetaGuard 900

- Ensure that the vehicle owner does not prepare the vehicle with silicon or wax products before you receive it and be cautious of overspray of silicon based products from the trim and wheels. This can cause the application to fail.
- It is vital that the vehicle is meticulously cleaned. Clean initially with warm soapy water, then with a degreaser and lint free cloth. Finally clean carefully around recesses and edges using Isopropanal, where maximum adhesion is most needed.
- Ensure the vehicle is at 17-24˚C, which can most easily be done by putting a fan heater inside the vehicle on cold days. Likewise the vinyl should be at a similar temperature.
